Human Rights are more than just a drawing

Whilst learning about human rights, I have discovered how unjust people can be. I believe that all men and women, young and old, black and white, are entitled to the same rights. As humans, we should all fight for these rights.

HUMAN RIGHTS

Human Rights is something you are born with, that everyone has so everyone must be able to be treated like you right? WRONG! Human rights is still a big issue for people mainly in developed countries. Human Rights was never made a law and is up to the governments to accept this. Most of the governments that don't accept human rights are corrupt and are not taking care of their people.
" Human Rights recognise the the fact that all people through out the world should be treated fairly. Regardless of their race, age, gender or religion people should be able to live with respect and dignity. They should have the freedom to make choices about their own lives but at the same time they have the resopnsibility to respect the rights of others. Affirming the worth of all people and promoting equality provides the foundation of peace and security"

Women hold up Half the Sky

After reading a particular section of the book: 365 ways to change the world, I have come to realise the importance of women in our society. Sometimes our thinking is clouded by false assumptions and with other parts of the world treating women inappropriately and with unecessary slavery and pain, our world comes to realise that global inequalities really are a negative and life changing situation. Women do keep our world spinning and without them our world would surely not succeed. Thankfully, some countries which have become accustomed to the belief that women are not of equal value, have finally realised that the negative treating of women is not necessary. However, many parts of our world today are still suffering and we must remember to give thanks for what we have and our democracy and pray for those who need it.
